We learned that rubber bands are made differently and no rubber bans are exactly the same. Some rubber bands stretch farther then others. When you are weighing rubber bands and adding mass constantly to see how far they can stretch before breaking the rubber band tends to snap quicker if you start off with a large amount of mass then gradually adding mass little by little so the rubber band stretches enough so it can get longer and longer which would make the length of the rubber band greater.
Yes, we have determined that if you gradually add mass little by little the rubber band can stretch farther than if you started with a large amount of mass it would tend to break quicker.
